Valentino Rossi believes MotoGP rookie Marc Marquez has all the potential to be the greatest of all time MotoGP racer. He said, Marquez is an "upgrade" of himself, a new model is
phenomenal racer.
Marquez now leads the standings by a margin of 16 points from his partner, Dani Pedrosa. The Repsol Honda rider won three of nine wins his first race in the MotoGP class. Amazingly, he was not on the podium only once.
Finally, riders 20 years of Spain's crossing the finish line in pole position in the race at Laguna Seca, Monday (22/07/2013). And he did it with a great action when overtaking Valentino Rossi in turn corkscrew. It was exactly as he had done when Rossi overtook Casey Stoner in MotoGP duel phenomenal in the U.S. 2008.
"He's
got all the potential to be the best racer of all time, or better than
me, or to win more than me," said Rossi flattering Marquez quoted from
Crash, yesterday.
"He's
got great talent, great skill, and is still very young. But it is too
early to tell right now because the road is still long. But he has a
100% chance to make it happen," said the driver nicknamed The Doctor's.
So, does this mean that Rossi has been handed the "crown" for Marquez? Asked
like that, he cleverly argued, "It is (Jorge) Lorenzo who gave the
crown to Marquez, because the last time I won the title in 2009," said
seven-time MotoGP world champion is.
"So
unfortunately for some of the season I do not have a crown! Apart from
the joke, Marc has done some amazing things. Previously, I knew he had a
lot of advantages, but not until this good. Initially I thought he
might be doing a lot of mistakes in His first season, but it turns out my guess was wrong, "said the Yamaha rider.
